DP&S certificated with SimplyOK – highest certification for allergen management

Tiel, 12 February 2019 | Dutch Protein & Services is proud to announce that it is the second company in the Netherlands to be certified in line with the SimplyOK Code of Practice, which is the highest level of certification in allergen management.

The company completed the certification process in December 2018. The certificate was officially presented yesterday to the Dutch Protein & Services management team – Chris Driessen (Director), Kees Kortleve (Managing Director) and Johan Mak (Quality Assurance Manager) – by Jisvi Schreuder, representative of Lloyd’s Register Nederland B.V.


SimplyOK is a non-profit organisation with the purpose of providing clear, reliable and complete information about allergens on food labels and in product specifications. The SimplyOK Code of Practice covers the five basic pillars of allergen management and aquantitativerisk assessment of cross-contamination according to VITAL®.These five pillars have been determined on the basis of the organisation’s many years of experience and lessons learned from recall analysis. The five pillars are:

  • Raw material management
  • Use of correct recipe
  • Correct label design
  • Prevention of exchange of product and/or packaging material
  • Prevention of cross-contamination

The allergen management system audits are performed and certified by independent certification providers such as Vinçotte, ISACert and Lloyd’s Register. The SimplyOK audit complements an FSSC, BRC or IFS audit.
